About DDRC

District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) at Viladghat, Ahilyanagar was established in August 2018 as an outreach activity of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India for providing comprehensive services to persons with disabilities. The centre provides early detection and intervention, physiotherapy, speech therapy, artificial limbs, skill training and more. ADIP, SIPDA, Niramaya Insurance and other state and central schemes are implemented successfully by DDRC.

Together we can make a difference

It was a dream of our founder, Late Hon. Dr. Eknathrao alias Balasaheb Vikhe Patil (Padma Bhushan), to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities. Facilities such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, audiometry and an artificial limbs centre were started in 2007 at Vikhe Patil Memorial Hospital, Ahilyanagar. The dream was taken forward by Hon. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Hon. Sujay Vikhe Patil, and DDRC was set up under Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation.
